CTP Program Enrollment & Examination Dates

The CTP Designation is now open for registration; our program is exclusive and only admits 100 participants per session. The next examination dates for the CTP Program are: February 4th, May 5th, August 4th and November 3rd for 2012. You must notify our team at least 3 weeks prior to a testing date in order to complete that examination.

Limiting enrollment to 100 participants within our program each session ensures that our team will be able to provide timely customer service to any questions and concerns our participants have. We encourage those planning to join the program in 2010 to do so this spring or early summer.

Testing Procedures

The certification examination is a 3 hour open-book exam in a specific language pair. The exam presents 80 multiple choice questions in English, two essay questions in English, and then two passages of approximately 150-175 words each to be translated into the target language of your choice.

The CTP Designation is a self-study program, and the examination for the CTP Program is offered 100% online, removing the cost or time of traveling to a testing center. As long as you have a reliable and consistent internet connection, you may complete our program from anywhere in the world.

CTP Program Requirements

All candidates must have at least one year of experience with another language. The experience may be completed through taking language courses, completing an exchange program in another country, or through an internship where a candidate had spoken or translated a foreign language for more than 10 hours a week.
